Ketler Elementary School in Westwood, NJ were given a make believe person called "Flat Stanley" who was to
go on adventures for 2 weeks, then his adventures described by each student to his
classmates. Challenger Center Rocket Club member Joseph
Fleming's Flat Stanley went for a rocket ride at the Pine Island, NY launch
site.
Flat Stanley was packed into the payload section of an Apogee rocket.
Flat Stanley probably flew about 2100 ft powered by an Aerotech G40. Recovery was out in the nearby field.
